Electronics can be plugged into the integrated interior outlet, which features two USB ports and 3 sockets. The 28¹⁄₂-inch-wide by 19¹⁄₄-inch-deep by 56-inch-high interior is fully upholstered to reduce the risk of scratching and marking in storage. Its textured black body measures 30 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 59 inches high overall and is built with four pre-drilled anchor holes for floor mounting. Its weighted, 506-pound structure helps deter theft.

The Mesa MGL24-AS ammo safe's steel construction and fire-resistant lining provide a two-story impact rating and a 30-minute, 1,200-degree-Fahrenheit fire rating to protect stored contents from burglary attacks and fires. This unit is secured with a PIN-activated electronic lock and ³⁄₄-inch-diameter steel locking bolts. After multiple incorrect codes are entered into the keypad, this system will lock out the unauthorized user to prevent further tampering. If the lock's battery dies, users can access the interior with the two included keys. For further protection, the lock is protected with a drill-resistant hard plate and punch-activated relocking system.
